We boarded the Emirates A380 expecting comfort. What we got was a full-body reset at 35,000 feet. From Bvlgari-scented everything to a sleep mattress that may have healed a childhood wound, this was less of a flight and more of a mood-altering experience. Luxury here isn’t loud. It’s soft socks, quiet lighting, and service so intuitive it felt like therapy.
Here’s the full rundown: scored, savoured, and slightly spoiled.

Seats: 10/10
Spacious enough to throw an emotional tantrum and still have room for a lie-down after. The A380 seat setup is unmatched. Wide, plush, and with a sleep mattress that feels like they kidnapped your bed from home and upgraded it. Slept so well, we briefly forgot we were in transit.
Service & Staff: 10/10
Attentive but not clingy. Warm but not fake. Somehow always around just when you need them, and fully committed to the art of you being ridiculously comfortable.

Food & Drinks: 9.5/10
Curated menus, luxe plating, and a bar menu that doesn’t clock out. We ordered a cocktail mid-movie, mid-air, and it felt… completely normal? (Also: real bread baskets. Thank you.)
Entertainment: 9/10
Big screens that don’t require squinting. You can control them via remote or tablet, which honestly feels like the future. The film selection is massive, but we spent most of the flight watching planes land on the tail cam, like the nerds we are.

Amenities: 10/10
Luxury on autopilot. Emirates delivers the goods: skincare, and a Bvlgari amenity kit. Hydrating, fragrant, and very much not for sharing. Ours came home with us and may or may not now live on the nightstand.
Lounge: 10/10
The lounge had a stillness that felt curated. Great plane-watching views, plenty of space, and you board directly from it. It’s giving… portal to another life.

Final CurrentMood Score: 59.5/60
We left refreshed, delusional, and emotionally unprepared for economy ever again.
