Gucci is having a family reunion, and everyone’s invited, whether you like them or not.
The new Gucci La Famiglia collection 2025 feels less like a lineup of clothes than a cast of characters. Shot by Catherine Opie, the lookbook is basically Gucci’s version of a family album: there’s La Bomba, the cousin who shows up late and loud; La Cattiva, the one who definitely stole your boyfriend; Miss Aperitivo, already two spritzes in; and of course, L’Influencer, because what’s a modern family without her? It’s camp, it’s glamorous, it’s very Gucci.

Demna (of Balenciaga infamy) is set to take the reins with his first Gucci show in February, but La Famiglia is the amuse-bouche. Perhaps sprezzatura in motion: slingbacks half-on, mules worn wrong-on-purpose, heritage codes messed with just enough to feel new again. The 1947 Bamboo bag is resized, the Horsebit loafer resurfaces, the Flora print goes nocturnal. And the GG monogram is everywhere. Lens to loafer, all or nothing.

The silhouettes swing like a mood chart: feathered opera coats and high jewelry at one end, sheer hosiery and bodycon at the other. Even menswear gets a glow-up, with black-tie swimwear and transparent tailoring. Because apparently, la dolce vita now includes being pool-ready at a gala.

The message is clear: the Gucci La Famiglia collection 2025 isn’t about pleasing everyone; it’s about Gucci pleasing itself. And in 2025, that might be the sexiest family value of all.
