Don’t let the coronavirus lockdown dampen your weekend spirit. It’s Saturday night and time to a sip a cocktail while chatting with your besties on HouseParty! Pankaj Balachandran, the India Brand Ambassador of Monkey Shoulder and co-founder of Bar-Back-Collective shares 3 easy cocktail recipes that all of us can try at home, “These drinks are ideal for quarantine drinking: ingredients are available in everyone’s kitchen, it’s tasty and has a varied flavour profile.”

SPICED CORIANDER MARGARITA

Ingredients:
Tequila 60 ml
Lime juice 20 ml
Honey/sugar syrup/Agave Nectar 15 ml
Jalapeno 1 slice
Coriander leaves 8 no
Soda water (optional)
Method:
In a cocktail shaker/jam jar or any container with a twist cap, add all the ingredients. Add ice into the container. Shake vigorously for 10 sec -(exclude soda).Strain the contents using a fine strainer into a glass filled with ice. Top up with a splash of soda if necessary. Garnish with some coriander.

MONKEY JAM SOUR

Ingredients:
Monkey Shoulder whisky 60 ml
Lime juice 20 ml
Sugar syrup (1part sugar to 1 part of water) 10 ml
Jam/orange marmalade 2 tea spoon
Method:
In a cocktail shaker/jam jar or any container with a twist cap, add all the ingredients. Add ice into the container. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds and strain the contents using a fine strainer into a glass filled with ice. Garnish with a slice of orange.

CONTAIN ME

Ingredients: 
Gin 50 ml
Lime juice 20 ml
Mint leaves 8
Cucumber 2 slice
Elderflower syrup/sugar syrup 15 ml
Method:
In a cocktail shaker/jam jar or any container with a twist cap , add mint and cucumber and muddle it in the container.  Add the remaining ingredients and ice into the container. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds. Strain the contents using a fine strainer into a glass filled with ice. Garnish with a fresh bunch of mint leaves.
