Rimowa Introduces The Original Bag: A New Luxury Essential

The OG luxury luggage brand, Rimowa, has been redefining premium travel gear since 1898. Starting with lightweight wooden cases, the German brand made its mark by switching to aluminum trunks in 1937. Acquired by LVMH in 2016, Rimowa has since collaborated with fashion giants like Dior, Off-White, and Supreme. With ambassadors like LeBron James, Roger Federer, and Rihanna, Rimowa remains the gold standard in luxury travel.

Now, Rimowa launches  The Original Bag, a unisex aluminium handbag that combines the durability of their iconic suitcases with a sleek, compact design. Lightweight and hard-sided, it can be worn cross-body, by hand, or as a shoulder bag, offering both versatility and style.

To celebrate the launch, Rimowa’s Original Bag campaign stars Central Cee, Liu Wen, IB Kamara, and Larissa Hofmann, embodying the brand’s global reach and appeal.

Hugues Bonnet-Masimbert, Rimowa’s CEO, shares, “The release of the RIMOWA Original Bag marks a new chapter in our history. We envision this bag to become an indispensable companion across a spectrum of journeys and personalities.”

Available in silver and black, The Original Bag is priced at €1,750 and will be available in stores and online starting September 12th, 2024.
