What if the drawings you made as a kid grew up with you, and turned into clothes? Canvas, the latest drop from Pieux, does exactly that. A heady mix of nostalgia and next-gen innovation, the collection turns childhood scribbles and textures into seriously wearable art. It’s playful, but with purpose.

Lenticular and optishift textiles shift with movement. Intricate appliqué brings emotion to the surface. Bold colours meet rich textures in silhouettes. Every piece is built with circularity in mind: recycled PET, organic cotton, surplus fabrics, deadstock, and Banofi leather (yes, the banana one) all make an appearance.

Designer Pratyush Kumar uses azo-free sublimation inks, handwoven vegan leather, and future-facing pattern-making to craft pieces that move with you, morph with you, and feel deeply personal.
And clearly, the world’s paying attention. Pieux represented India as the only finalist at the Sustasia Fashion Prize in Shanghai this year. No small feat on a global platform that puts sustainability and innovation front and centre.

What’s next? A showroom and pop-up in Taiwan (28th July to 3rd August), followed by a Tokyo showcase this September. Back home, things are just as exciting: the Ministry of Textiles is backing Pieux with a dedicated retail space, where up-cycled, recycled, and craft-forward pieces will finally live IRL.
So yes, the collection looks great on a rack. But it’s also proof that fashion can be expressive, ethical, and future-facing, all at once.
