Christian Louboutin’s La Vie en Inde Shines Bright This Diwali

If Diwali had a dress code, this would be it: unapologetically shiny, slightly dramatic, and impossible to ignore. Christian Louboutin’s La Vie en Inde capsule just dropped (in time for the festive season), and his love for India is shining through.

This limited edition is inspired by Navratna, India’s nine sacred gemstones. Which basically means every shoe looks like it walked straight out of a jewelry box. Colours like ruby reds, sapphire blues, emerald greens, and gold. “India has always held a special place in my heart,” says Louboutin. “A land where color is lived, not just seen. From the drape of a sari to the rhythm of its cinema, every detail pulses with grace and joy.” Which is probably the most accurate way to describe India and these shoes.

There’s the Lady Bombay, reborn as the Diwadonna; the Miss Jane Pump 85 and Pyraclouplatforms that gleam like heirlooms; and for men, the Diwalouis sneaker and Chambelimoc loafer. Subtle, if your definition of subtle includes metallic finishes and a red

sole.

Every piece comes stamped édition limitée, fitting, really. Some things aren’t meant for everyone, and this might just be one of them.

Available exclusively at Christian Louboutin boutiques in Mumbai and New Delhi from October 2025.
