Photographs that explore the human anatomy and its relationship with colour.
New York based photographer, Maciek Jasik’s images have an underlying theme of ‘seeking to understand society’s relationship with the natural world and explore ideas of identity, gender and the self while working in a parallel world of endless colour and bewildering physical phenomena.’
According to Maciek, “Colour’s purpose is manifold. Able to evoke a primal, instinctual response, it transcends rationality, facts, numbers and circumvents biases. It plugs directly into the subconscious. And it can represent our most complicated feelings and deepest perceptions of our relationships with the ones we love and hate the most, including ourselves.”
