Change is the only constant in life, but these days we’re looking at a huge transformations be it in politics, business and fashion. When it comes to beauty we’re saying goodbye to everything that we held dear over the past few years and revisiting trends that we thought would never be seen again. But, thats a good thing in our book. Say goodbye to boring bed heads and bushy brows as beauty charts a new path this season. Here are the top trends to follow:
Invisible Brows:
Blame it on Instagram with gazillion videos on creating fuller brows, but the bushiness is so last season. Just a look at shows such as Junta Watanabe, Ungaro, Marchesa and Alexander Mc Queen reflects fashion’s new romance with the skinny, bleached or bare brow. But just because they have taken a backseat doesn’t mean they’e not groomed at all. While you can stay away from the heavy powders and pencils, you must sweep up your caterpillars with a transparent gel such as M.A.C Brow Set in Clear.

Modern Multicolour:
Multihued makeup hasn’t made an appearance since the ’80s but today it is feted at shows including Max Mara with dashes of blue and yellow on the cheeks, Maison Martin Margiela with yellow, peach, turquoise and lavender, and Gucci where brows were dyed mauve or yellow. Still, the new multicolour is a far cry form the versions of the past, being lighter and fresher. The trick lies in keeping the skin natural and dewy instead of powdery matte that can look dated. Also, apply bright colours in transparent layers so they look more modern, as opposed to flat and opaque.

Sweaty Skin:
We know, we know, strobing was the ‘It’ trend of 2016. But this season strobing is subtle compared to the sweaty sheen seen on
models at shows including Elie Saab, Balmain and Giorgio Armani. The trick is not to use shimmery highlighter on key areas but
to use a balmy moisturiser all over the face for that sweaty sheen. But if your skin is less than perfect, stick to the traditional
method of strobing where you dab highlighter on the high parts of the cheeks, temples, nose and brows. You can also add a drop
of face oil to your CC cream and massage it into your face.

Centre Parts and Straight Hair:
While messy, natural texture is still seen on the runways, it’s hardly making news. The real change can be seen at shows such as
Tommy Hilfiger, Versace and Victoria Beckham, where models channeled the ’90s with straight hair and centre parts. The look is
a reflection of the fact that fashion wants to separate itself from the Instagrammers, as centre parts especially only suit those with
symmetrical features, aka models. But that doesn’t mean you can’t wear this look. Just keep your parting a bit off centre to make
it more flattering for you.

Glossy lips (some high shine lip gloss):
Matte lips have been ubiquitous season after season and now finally there’s some gloss on the horizon. Seen clear at Maison
Margiela, nude at Giorgio Armani, fire engine at Carolina Herrera, and true red at Kenzo, gloss is here to stay. And while it has
gained a bad reputation because of the sticky formulas of the past, the new formulas gloss are non-sticky and even leave behind a
