As Diwali and wedding season draw near, so does the search for clothes that feel festive but not overdone. Something that celebrates without screaming. With Naaz, Ridhi Mehra turns the language of Indian occasion wear into something softer. If you’re drawn to subtle, her latest collection might just be your answer.

The collection unfolds like a series of celebrations. From mehendi afternoons under the sun to weddings that stretch into all-night stories. The silhouettes are fluid and grounded: pant-style sets, draped salwars, kali kurtas, jacket-skirt ensembles, flat saris, and halter-neck peplum ghararas. Each piece carries lightness.

Patola-inspired motifs, marodi work, and Mehra’s signature jewelled embroidery run through the collection, detailed with tassels, jhalars, ornate hangings, and soft shimmer. It’s bridalwear, for brides who prefer a softer look.

The menswear follows the same philosophy. Bandi-kurta sets in handloom kota and tissue strike a balance between ease and ceremony. Monotone palettes in deep red, navy, and black feel timeless and modern. The colours trace the arc of celebration itself: light gold and silver on black, mint tissue, rust orange, purple kota, lilac prints, and fresh pastels that shift from sunrise to midnight.

“With Naaz, I wanted wedding wear to feel light, free, and true to today,” says Ridhi Mehra. “It’s rooted in craft and tradition, but designed to move with you, to be part of your moments. For me, Naaz is about celebrating people, not just dressing them.”
