There’s a Tory Burch café in Delhi right now, and it’s not trying too hard to impress you, which is exactly why it works. Since April 23rd, Tory Burch has taken over Roastery Coffee House, turning it into The Romy Café. It’s inspired by the Romy bag, but instead of putting it on a pedestal, the idea is simpler: what if you just lived with it?

The first thing you notice is the mood. Soft, neutral, a little matte, nothing loud. There’s a sculptural installation at the entrance that quietly sets the tone, and then everything else sort of unfolds from there. Coffee cups, dessert boxes, even the way things are carried. It all echoes the Romy without spelling it out.
Once inside, you can get your coffee personalised in real time, pick up a dessert that feels a bit too nicely packaged to throw away, or sit for a portrait by a live illustrator. There’s a mirrored corner that doubles as a low-key photo moment, a DJ playing somewhere in the background.

The Romy bag shows up as a series of ideas: things you hold, carry, use without thinking twice. It blurs that line between something you buy and something you experience.

And maybe that’s the shift. Luxury here isn’t about being looked at. It’s about how something fits into your day. A coffee, a conversation, a small detail you didn’t expect. Delhi, with its mix of pace and personality, makes sense for this kind of moment.
The Romy Café is open to the public until May 10. So no overplanning required, you just need to show up.
